Mr. Qiang Yang, the Artistic Director of Twin Cities Chinese Dance
Center, is an award-winning choreographer and dance instructor. Mr.
Yang received his professional degree from Beijing Dance Academy,
the best dance institution in China, where he learned directly from
masters of traditional Chinese arts and world-renowned artists from art
organizations such as the British Royal Ballet and the Huston Ballet.  
He had served as the Choreographer and the Dance Troupe Director
for China National Song and Dance Ensemble for nearly a decade. His
dance works earned numerous awards from China’s highest art
authorities. Ever since he came to the US, Mr. Yang has been devoting
himself into art education for students of all ages and backgrounds. His
work "Riding the Chinese Dragon" once won
the Mayor Mosaic Award
in the Minneapolis Aquatennial Parade in 2003.
Through the universal
      TC-CDC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit art organization that promotes
traditional Chinese performing arts while nurturing the integration of
ethnic dances into America modern art stream. Under the artistic
direction of its founder, Mr. Qiang Yang, TC-CDC strives to provide not
only distinctive art education and performances to the general public,
but also a means to unite communities and cultures in a network of
appreciation and understanding.
